1. Why do challenge blogs ask for a permanent link?

Most themes change weekly on and in order for people to identify your respective challenge post right away, it’s important to send a direct link to your static page, also referred to as permalink, permanent or static link. Once your comment with your link goes into the archives, it will be more and more difficut to find your post. And yes, people do peruse the archives!

At this point, Picturetrail doesn’t provide permalinks yet. But the direct link to your Wednesday Stamper Album is a compromise.

2. Why can I not post a comment on some blogs?

Blogger/Blogspot, Fotki … have standard default settings which allow members only to post. If the blog/album owner modifies them so that anyone can comment, you’ll be able to share your comments.

3. Why do challenge blogs ask me to link back to them in the post?

Because they link to you, and you link to them, very simple! This also allows everyone to click right back to the challenge blog and continue admiring the other participations.

4. Why do I not see my comment?

Probably, because it ended up in the spam folder or is for moderation. Don’t worry, one of the moderators will despam it soon enough. It won’t get lost, just be patient.
